Overview

Follett supplies the educational materials that keep our school systems running — from preschool through college. For over 140 years, Follett's team of educators, administrators and developers have supported schools with everything from helping to choose standards-exceeding textbooks to stocking and managing full libraries to integrating technology in classrooms.  

Initially spread across a dozen domains, our goal was to bring access to all of Follett’s preK-12 products, services, solutions and information under one Follett branded experience. A multi-phased assignment, the visual design and architectural experience needed to be flexible and scalable, to facilitate housing all content from the current sites.

What I Did

I was the lead creative responsible for the look and feel of this site. I managed and directed designers and writers to deliver an experience that was on brand — both visually, as well as in tone and voice. I collaborated with the user experience lead, content strategist and tech lead to balance user-needs with technical requirements. I oversaw creative quality control from initial comps to through final template delivery. And, I led creation of the site build book — used by Follett and a 3rd party vendor to build and populate the site.
